ABOUT OUR SHOP

In-House Expertise Built on a Working Fleet

FGLK operates and maintains a fleet of over 300 boxcars and 50 gondolas. That means our mechanical team isn't a side service — it's a core competency we've built to keep our own equipment in service, and that expertise is available to other car owners and lessors operating on or near the FGLK network.

We perform light running repairs: the kind of field-level work that gets a car back in service quickly without the cost or delay of routing it to a major car shop hundreds of miles away. Our team is experienced in AAR interchange rules and understands what it takes to get a car re-accepted for interchange service.

Work is performed at our Geneva, NY facility. Contact us to discuss your equipment and what repairs are needed — we'll give you an honest assessment of what we can do and how quickly.

WHY FGLK

The Advantage of On-Network Repair

Faster Turnaround

Repairing on the FGLK network means your car doesn't travel hundreds of miles to a shop and back. Less transit time means your car is back in revenue service sooner.

Direct Communication

You deal directly with the people doing the work — not a dispatch queue. We can answer questions about repair scope, progress, and documentation in real time.

Integrated With Your Move

If your car is already moving on the FGLK network, we can often handle running repairs without diverting it off-line — coordinating repair and forwarding in one operation.

Need a Repair Assessment?

Reach out with the car number, equipment type, and a description of the defect. Our mechanical team will let you know whether the repair falls within our running repair capabilities and give you a timeline and cost estimate.
